Director of Business Development

Location: Zezenia, Alexandria – Egypt

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to work out of our office in Alexandria Egypt to lead our efforts in expanding our presence in the US IoT solutions market, with a specific focus on transportation, retail, smart cities, and GPS tracking. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and analyzing target market segments, crafting a unique value proposition, implementing a robust pricing strategy based on market research and competitive analysis, establishing effective distribution channels, and executing comprehensive marketing and sales strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze market trends, competitor landscapes, and client needs to identify high-potential segments and provide them with innovative solutions that address their pain points.
  • Research and analyze IoT-reliant industries such as transportation, retail, smart cities, and GPS tracking for potential opportunities, whether requiring a quick response or involving long sales cycles.
  • Create detailed personas for decision-makers in identified industries, especially those mentioned above.
  • Showcase the specific benefits of IoT connectivity solutions, emphasizing enhanced security, scalability, and specialized data analytics services.
  • Clearly articulate what sets us as a MVNO apart from competitors in the IoT space.
  • Design successful digital marketing strategies for SEO and strong social media presence.
  • Take charge of developing and implementing initiatives related to the creation and dissemination of high-impact collateral, including white papers, case studies, and press releases.
  • Set prices based on perceived value, considering different client segments, and identify the pricing strategy, whether it be cost-plus pricing, competitive pricing, price skimming, penetration pricing, or value-based pricing.
  • Lead and manage an in-house sales team, providing training to ensure the achievement of targets.
  • Identify and forge strategic partnerships with IoT device manufacturers and industry partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the IoT space, telecommunications, or related industries. An MBA is preferred but not required.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in a relevant role, particularly in the United States IoT market.  A background in AIoT solutions is a plus.
  • Ability to work during United States business hours (Monday to Friday).
  • In-depth knowledge of the IoT industry, including emerging trends and technologies.
  • Proficiency in developing and executing business strategies for IoT solutions in key sectors such as retail, transportation, logistics, city operations, and smart cities.
  • Proven ability to analyze market trends, competitor landscapes, and client needs in the IoT space. Craft go-to-market strategy based on numbers and statistics.
  • Technical acumen to understand and communicate complex IoT concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Sales and business development expertise with a focus on achieving targets.
  • Strong presentation skills for effectively conveying IoT solutions to clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analytical skills, particularly in analyzing market data, client behavior, and industry trends.
  • Understanding of the complexities of long sales cycles associated with IoT solutions.
  • Proficient in crafting swift and tailored solutions that align with clients’ immediate needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to interpret data to drive strategic decision-making for business development.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams, with experience managing small and mid-sized teams.
  • Experience collaborating with technical teams, sales, and marketing for seamless business development processes.
  • Availability for overtime as needed to meet business demands.
